The Profhilo Aftercare Do’s

1.     Employ a cold compressor

 If you have slight soreness or edema, a cool compress will help your skin.  However, the treated area should never be exposed to ice; instead, it should be softly applied in brief sessions using a clean cloth.

2.     Arnica to treat bruises

 Arnica lotion has the ability to hasten the healing process of minor bruises.  It is a natural treatment that decreases discoloration and inflammation.  However, it is best to speak with your physician prior to applying.

3.     Avoid any beauty procedures

 For two weeks following treatment, refrain from getting facials, waxing, chemical peels, skin needling, microdermabrasion, IPL, or laser treatments in the treated region.  

The product is injected in tiny "deposits," which may be visible at first but normally go away in a few hours.  The product may be palpable beneath the skin where it has been injected.  There is no need for a massage; this will settle.

4.     Gently cleanse your skin

 After six hours of your treatment, you can wash your face with a mild cleanser that doesn't include any fragrance.  To prevent irritation, wipe dry with a gentle cloth rather than rubbing or cleaning.

5.     Wear SPF every day.

 Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 after a day.  UV rays can limit the length of your Profhilo results by damaging the skin and weakening collagen.

6.     Take a nap on your back.

 For the first two or three nights, sleep on your back with your head up a little.  This prevents swelling and avoids applying pressure to the injection sites.  If needed, use an additional pillow to support your head.

When Should I Worry Following a Profilo Treatment?

Get in touch with your doctor if you experience any of the following your profhilo behandeling.

•       If you experience redness, itching, swelling, or discomfort, it doesn't go away within 36 hours of your treatment.

•       A few days following therapy, redness, swelling, or discomfort appears.

•       Pain greater than usual following an injection
